Our goal at Vacation Tracker is to make our system as customizable as possible (and to satisfy all of you feature requesters). This is why we offer both global and department based notifications! Department based notifications include all of the users within a Vacation Tracker department and as an Admin, you are able to set the notifications using the steps below:

Go to the Vacation Tracker Dashboard - https://app.vacationtracker.io/signin

On the left-hand side, under Settings, click on Departments

Find the the department you wish to edit and click on the 3 dots (...). From the drop-down menu click on Edit Department option

When the new page opens, you will see the option Set Notifications. Click the toggle to turn them on and a new set of options will show:

Channel OR Recepients - if you are using our Microsoft Teams or Slack integration, you can select the channel you would like the notifications to arrive to. If you are using our Google Workspace integration, you can enter multiple email addresses to send notifications to. As a hack, you can also create an email group within Google to sent notifications to for more details please see: Google Workspace: How Do I Send Notifications to a Group?
Time Zone - you can select the time zone according to which the notifications will be sent out at the selected time.
Weekly notification - you will be able to choose the day and time when the notification will arrive in the channel.
Daily notification - you will be able to choose the time the notification will arrive in the channel.

*Please note: you can turn on both daily and weekly notifications or select only one option.

When you finish editing, click on Update to save the changes

Please note: anyone in the selected channel will be able to see the notifications sent by our Vacation Tracker bot.
