There are two ways of requesting a leave in Vacation Tracker:
through our online dashboard;
by using our bot.

To request a leave using our online dashboard, please follow these steps:

Go to the Vacation Tracker Dashboard ( https://app.vacationtracker.io/ )
On the left-hand side click on the Request a Leave button (if you are an Admin or an Approver you would click on the Leave Requests drop down menu and then select Request a Leave)
A new page will open, you can now enter the necessary information:

For the "Request Field" select the type of leave you are applying for
Select the Start Date and the End Date
Finally, if necessary add a reason

Once you are done entering the information, click on Add Leave

The request will now be sent to your Approver for further action.



To request a leave using our bot, please follow these steps:

On the left-hand side of your MS Teams click on Chats and open the Vacation Tracker chat by clicking on it
OR at the top of your MS Teams window search "Vacation Tracker" in the search bar and select the app (make sure that you are within the Chat tab)
Type Request Leave in the chatbox and press enter or click the send icon



The bot will respond and you can select the type of leave you are applying for by using the drop-down menu
Once selected, click Next and you will be taken to the following step where you can select the Start Date and the End Date of your leave. You can also enter a reason (which will only be visible to your Approver).
Once you are done entering the information, click Submit



The request will now be sent to your Approver for further action.
