How Do I Create a Location?

We know what you are thinking:

“I have a multinational team. Can I set up different policies and assign users to different locations?”

Good news - yes you can! Just follow these simple steps:




Go to the Vacation Tracker Dashboard - https://app.vacationtracker.io/signin

Click on Locations on the left-hand side menu

Once on the new page, click Create a Location

A new page will open where you can now enter the necessary information:




Location Name - you want to enter the name of your location (eg. Moscow, USA, British Columbia)
Setting the workweek will apply the workweek schedule for all users that are using this location
You can choose to reset the leave quotas according to the Accounting Year (meaning that the leave quota will be reset for all users from this location according to the same date) or according to the User Employment Date (meaning that the leave quota will be reset for all users from this location according to their employment start date).
You can then add the users to this location by clicking in the Users field
Finally, you can opt to Make this Location Default, so that all new users who are imported into the account are automatically sent to this location.

Once you are done editing, click Create Location and you're all set!

After creating your new location, you may want to go ahead and set holidays! You can use the steps in our Holidays article to do this!
