How do I turn on/off MFA (multi-factor authentication) in Vacation Tracker?

This feature is only available for our Email Only integration. For more information on the MFA feature, please see the following link: Does Vacation Tracker have MFA (multi-factor authentication)?

Please note: users must have an MFA application that they will connect with Vacation Tracker. Some examples of an MFA application are: Bitwarden; Microsoft Authenticator; Google Authenticator; Authy; etc.

Within Vacation Tracker Admins are not able to turn on the MFA option for the users; each user must turn on the option for their account using the online dashboard.

The users can access the MFA setting by following these steps:

Go to the online dashboard (app.vacationtracker.io/signin) and click on Sign In with Email
Once logged in, click on your name in the top-right-hand corner
From the dropdown menu, choose Account Settings
Under Account Settings you will see the MFA setting

To turn on the setting, please use the following steps:

While under Account Settings go to the Enable MFA option
Click on Yes, to turn on MFA
A new pop-up will open with the QR code that you can scan into your MFA application. If you aren’t able to scan the QR code, you can copy the secret key and enter it manually into the MFA application.

Once you enter the code or scan the code, you will be given a generated code, please enter that code in the Code field.
Once the Code is entered (and it matches), you will receive confirmation that the MFA option is now fully enabled.

From now on, whenever you log into the dashboard and enter your credentials, you will be prompted to enter the code from your MFA application:

To turn off the MFA option, please use the following steps:

While under Account Settings go to the Enable MFA option
Click on No, to turn off MFA
A confirmation pop-up will open to ask if you’re sure you want to make the change; if you are, click Yes, disable MFA
